I’m very proud
to be a Medical Laboratory Technologist. I’ve graduated from USM with a Diploma
in Medical Laboratory Technology (5 years In-Service Training, major in
Physiology & Pharmacology). The first 3 years, studied all the pure
sciences, medical sciences & medical laboratory technology subjects. In
Year 4 & 5, studied the major subject & carried out a research project.
My working experiences were in Pharmacology Laboratory (June
1989-April 1991),
Nuclear Medicine (April 1991-April 2000 – radiopharmaceuticals
preparation, diagnostic imaging, therapeutic & non-imaging procedures, and
QA/QC tests), Department
of Anesthesiology - Blood Gas Analysis (April 2000-July 2001). Currently, I’m in Medical Radiation Programme since July 2001
(in-charge of Nuclear Medicine). I’ve
followed a pilot project of Distance Assisted Training Programme for Nuclear
Medicine Technologist, Phase I & Phase II (Asia Pacific region, under IAEA
& Australian Agency for International Development/Westmead Hospital, Sydney).....
