Ramadan is coming again...

Every year, Ramadan comes & goes. This year, Ramadan again  is just around the corner. We, as Muslim should be well prepared mentally and physically to undergo the challenge of this holy month of Ramadan. We must be able to undergo it without much difficulties and problems as we did face it in previous years.

"O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqun (the pious)”. (Al-Baqarah: 183)
“(Fasting) for a fixed number of days, but if any of you is ill or on a journey, the same number (should be made up) from other days. And as for those who can fast with difficulty, (i.e. an old man, etc.), they have (a choice either to fast or) to feed a poor person (for every day). But whoever does good of his own accord, it is better for him. And that you fast, it is better for you if only you know". (Al-Baqarah: 184)
"The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramadan), he must fast that month, and whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number (of days which one did not fast must be made up) from other days. Allah intends for you ease and He does not want to make things difficult for you. (He wants that you) must complete the same number (of days), and that you must magnify Allah for having guided you so that you may be grateful to Him". (Al-Baqarah: 185)

Ibn Abbas (r.a.) reported that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.) related from his Lord (glorified and exalted be He):
"Verily Allah has recorded the good deeds and the evil deeds." Then he clarified that: "Whosoever intends to do a good deed but does not do it, Allah records it with Himself as a complete good deed; but if he intends it and does it, Allah records it with Himself as ten good deeds, up to seven hundred times, or more than that. But if he intends to do an evil deed and does not do it, Allah records it with Himself as a complete good deed; but if he intends it and does it, Allah records it down as one single evil deed".
[Al-Bukhari & Muslim]

Ramadan teaches us about patience, sharing, caring, saving etc. It teaches us to be more tolerant and  more patient than before. Ramadan also teaches us not to be greedy and arrogant. We are advised not to be over spending during breaking our fast and also for Aidilfitri preparations. Be moderate in every of our actions. Be kind to offer helps to the poor and needy. Verily, Ramadan is the month for doing more ibadah rather than spending more on breaking the fast.
